CREATING A STRONG CULTURE OF WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH (WSH)

At STECS, our goal for safety is reflected in our clear and straightforward workplace safety slogan: "Zero Accident and Zero Harm for Everyone". We firmly believe that safety is fundamental aspect of everything we do. To achieve this, we integrate workplace safety and health management into every stage of our operations - from planning and design to construction.

Our objective is to eliminate all workplace injuries and ensuring an environment where every employee returns home in the same condition as when they arrived at work. STECS is fully committed to this goal through the strict and effective implementation of robust safety management rules and policy.

PROMOTING WSH AWARENESS

Creating an accident-free workplace requires emphasizing individual Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) awareness. To this end, our Managing Director, along with WSHE Committee, conducts monthly inspections and meetings across all projects.  Additionally, we organize an annual Corporate WSHE Campaign to raise awareness and acknowlede individual contributions to safety and performance.

STECS fully supports MOM's 'VISION ZERO' initiative and LTA's 'ZERO ACCIDENT MOVEMENT'. Achieving these goals is made possible through the strong commitment of our top management and the active involvement of our supervisory staff and workers.

TOTAL WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH

Total Workplace Safety and Health (Total WSH) is a comprehensive approach to managing safety, health and well-being within the workplace. It emphasizes collaboration between workers and managers in an ongoing process of improvement to safeguard and enhance the health, safety, and well-being of all employees, while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the workplace. This approach incorporates risk assessment processes that consider individual risk factors. By integrating programs that address workplace risks alongside initiatives that promotes health, we can create synergies that lead to enhance productivity, better performance, reduced absenteeism, employee retention, improved employee retention, stronger financial outcomes, higher return on investment, and an overall better quality of life for employees.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

We assign safety officers in all our projects, with supervision provided by a corporate safety manager who directly reports to the Managing Director. These safety professionals form a core team within our organization, responsible for the effective implementation of the Project Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System.

SAFETY AWARDS

As a WSH leader, we take pride in the recognition our efforts have been received in the industry. We remain committed to our safety pledge, continuously strengthening our WSH initiatives and fostering the right safety attitudes among our employees, workers, and subcontractors.
